Colonial Manager’s House 1846

The Colonial Manager’s House (B-23) was built as a residential property in 1846. It is a log-built construction in two stories, later clad in wooden boards, and with extensions on all four sides – including a south-facing glass veranda on the first floor.

This building was the home of the colonial manager and later the trade master. It was also the location of Sisimiut’s first telegraph office. Today the house contains the museum shop and ticket office. On the first floor you will find the exhibition From Hunter to Worker.
