Buildings

Sisimiut Museum is located across several buildings dating from colonial times. The buildings are protected, dating from the 18th and 19th century, and reflect the history and development of Sisimiut. The early log-built and timber-framed structures were first constructed in Denmark or Norway, before being taken apart and shipped to Greenland where they were re-erected. Sisimiut Museum has several buildings that have been moved more than once.

All buildings, in addition to the house number corresponding to the street address, have a B (“building”) number.
